EN 471: High-visibility warning clothing

Norms: EN 471:2003 / EN 471:2003/A1:2007

Visibility during the day, in the twilight and in the dark.

Thanks to high-visibility warning clothing, the visibility of the pedistrian / wearer can be improved reducing the risk of accidents.

The EN 471 High-vis warning clothing has two different performance classes:

EN471

  1. x: the surface of fluorescent and retro-reflective material (3 levels)

    The proportion of fluorescent background material and retro-reflective material.

  2. y: the performance of the retro-reflective material (2 levels)

    There are two performance classes for retro-reflective material (the commonly used class 2 and the very rarely seen lower performing class 1
